Cherry Blossom Festival "Petal Porch” Parade

The Cherry Blossom Festival will take on a new look this year to limit large gatherings. Organizers are asking you to bring the cherry blossoms to our neighborhood by decorating your porches, yards, and windows in a cherry blossom theme from March 20-April 11.

Unleash your creativity and cherry blossom spirit! Bring the celebration of spring to your neighborhood by decorating your porch, yard or window in the theme of cherry blossoms, pink, or springtime! "Petal Porches" will be featured on a virtual map (see below), and District residents can plan a (socially-distanced) walk or drive around the neighborhood to share in the celebration of spring.

If we have enough participation, our neighborhood could be included on the inaugural Petal Parade route on April 10 + 11! The route will be determined by density clustering of decorated homes. The more registered Petal Porches in your neighborhood, the better your chances are for having the Petal Procession cruise by, so get your neighbors to register too!

Sign up here through March 15 to include your porch in the Petal Porch Parade Map.
