DCPL Book Talk: Michelle's Garden: How the First Lady Planted the Seeds of Change

Just in time for spring and Women’s History Month, D.C. Public Library invites you to join author Sharee Miller as she discusses her new book Michelle's Garden: How the First Lady Planted the Seeds of Change in partnership with Politics and Prose and the DC Public Library Foundation on Wednesday, March 3, at 4pm.

When former First Lady Michelle Obama wanted to showcase the power of plants, she decided to grow the biggest kitchen garden the White House had ever seen. But because she’d never gardened before, she knew she’d need a lot of help. With a group of local students, the White House staff, and President Barack Obama, the First Lady built something beautiful and delicious. Celebrated author/illustrator Sharee Miller shares this inspiring true story with her characteristic warmth and humor. Learn more and RSVP for this event today!
